Bossypants

BossypantsBossypants by Tina Fey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just what I needed after the angst of Bring Up the Bodies! This is light and funny, with interesting insights into the American entertainment industry and politics. Fey doesn’t go into a huge amount of detail about the angst in her life. I suspect that this is either because she’s not that sort of person, or there just hasn’t been very much angst at all. She seems pretty easygoing. There were definitely some Ah-ha moments for me – Fey has some great insights into what motivates people’s behaviour, and she is generous in her acknowledgement and praise of significant people in her working life. Some of it went over my head. Although I know about SNL I’ve never seen an episode. Ever. Must do some YouTubing. Very enjoyable.
